Who We Are

The College of Basic Science and Humanities has been one of the primary constituents of the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar since its inception in 1964. It forms the cornerstone on which the foundation of teaching and research in agriculture and related sciences was laid.

The college has left no stone unturned in accomplishing its desired objectives, be it imparting quality education, maintaining the unparalleled performance of students or living up to the lofty standards it started with.

The college is one of the premier educational institutes and the lone Science collegein the state of Odisha that offers courses from the Under Graduate to the PhD level. It boasts of a student strength of about 1000at the Under Graduate level and about 170 at the Post Graduate and PhD level.

VISION:

Further, the College will be a world leader in preparing professionals who provide leadership and exemplary educational and related services to improve the lives of individuals in a changing and complex global society. MISSION:

The mission of the College of Education is to help prepare outstanding educators, scholars, and researchers, and to advance the profession of education, as broadly defined, through research on the science and art of teaching and learning, the application of clinical processes, the effective uses of technology, and the analysis and development of leadership and educational policy.
